TODAY’S TRANSFORMATIONAL TRUTH 17TH OCTOBER 2024 – #Think Big

Hello Friends,

I hope you’re feeling inspired today! On Triple T, we’re focusing on a theme that will expand your horizons and challenge you to dream larger: #THINK BIG.

Let me begin by saying, “Small thinking leads to small results.” If you want to make an impact in life, you need to stretch your imagination beyond what seems possible. The Ultimate Book reminds us in Ephesians 3:20, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” Friends, “When you think big, you’re aligning yourself with God’s vision for your life, which is always greater than you could ever conceive.”

Consider the story of Tony Elumelu, a man who built one of Africa’s most influential financial groups by thinking beyond his immediate environment. Tony Elumelu wasn’t born into wealth or power. In fact, he started his career as an entry-level banker in Lagos. But even at that point, he had a vision that was much bigger than his current position.

Elumelu’s breakthrough came when he led a small, underperforming bank called Standard Trust Bank, and within a few years, transformed it into one of the top five banks in Nigeria. But he didn’t stop there. Tony had an even bigger dream—he saw the potential for creating a pan-African financial institution that could uplift economies across the continent. His vision led to the historic acquisition of United Bank for Africa (UBA), turning it into a powerhouse with operations in over 20 African countries and beyond.

But Tony Elumelu didn’t just stop at banking. He established the Tony Elumelu Foundation, with the goal of empowering young African entrepreneurs through the concept of “Africapitalism”—the belief that the private sector can drive economic and social development. Through his foundation, he has committed $100 million to empower 10,000 African entrepreneurs over 10 years. His story shows us that “When you think big, you don’t just change your own life; you create a ripple effect that impacts thousands, even millions.”

As people of faith, we are reminded in Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” Friends, “When you think big, you start to see opportunities that others miss. You align yourself with God’s abundant plan for your life.” Remember, God’s vision for you is far greater than anything you could ever imagine—so don’t limit yourself with small thinking.

As I conclude, let me remind you that “Big dreams require big thinking.” Whether you’re launching a new business, aiming for a promotion, or seeking to make a difference in your community, don’t be afraid to dream beyond your current circumstances.

In conclusion, I encourage you today to THINK BIG. Expand your mind, challenge your limitations, and believe that God has placed something extraordinary within you. Don’t settle for less when you were meant for greatness.
