Bayern Munich star, Thomas Muller provided insight into his team’s disappointing 4-1 defeat against Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Entering the match, Barcelona was desperate to break a streak of six consecutive losses to Bayern Munich in the competition, during which they hadn’t found the back of the net against the German side in their last four encounters.

However, Hansi Flick’s squad showcased a remarkable performance at Camp Nou, with Raphinha delivering a standout display that included a brilliant hat trick, propelling Barcelona to a decisive victory over Vincent Kompany’s team.

After the match, Muller expressed his feelings of frustration and disappointment, stating that his team struggled with confidence against their opponents.

“This obviously isn’t a good feeling. We came here to win, yet we ended up losing 4-1, which highlights the considerable amount of work that lies ahead for us,” Muller said (via @iMiaSanMia on X).

He added, “Looking back and analyzing the game, it’s clear that Barcelona had more positive moments than we did throughout the match.”

The win has pushed FC Barcelona to the 10th spot in the Champions League table with 6 points in three games, while Bayern Munich have dropped to the 27th spot in the league table.
