Tragedy Strikes Ondo School: Student Stabbed To Death

A devastating incident has shaken the Akoko Anglican Grammar School community, as a senior secondary school student, Habib Salau, was fatally stabbed by a female student, Sandra, following a scuffle outside the school premises.

Eyewitnesses reported that the altercation occurred after school hours, resulting in Sandra allegedly stabbing Habib with a knife obtained from a student of Ajiroke Technical School.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear, The Nation reports.

The body of the late Habib has been deposited at the Specialist Hospital, mortuary Ikare.

The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the incident and transferred the case to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for thorough investigation.

Police Commissioner Abayomi Oladipo assured that justice will be served.

“We will leave no stone unturned in uncovering the circumstances surrounding Habib’s tragic death,” Oladipo stated.

The school community is reeling in shock, with concerns about student safety and violence escalating.

Bouncer Stabs Man In Lagos Club House

A club bouncer identified as Kingsley Otti has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly stabbing a suspected hoodlum to death at a lounge on Ago Palace Way in the Okota area of the state.

Naija News reports that the command spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement on Wednesday, said the incident occurred on Monday at about 3:30 am.

According to him, Otti attacked the deceased during an altercation between them in the club’s car park.

He stated that the victim became unconscious and was rushed to Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Mushin, where he was confirmed dead.

The statement read, “On Monday, at about 11:30 am, the manager of a club and lounge, located at Ago Palace Way, Ago-Okota, reported to the Ago-Okota Division that on the same day at about 3:30 am, a yet-to-be-identified adult male, suspected to be a hoodlum, was allegedly stabbed by the club’s bouncer, one Kingsley Oti, during an altercation between them at the club’s car park.

“In the process, he became unconscious. He was rescued and rushed to Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Mushin, where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.”
