Victor Osimhen confident ahead of Beşiktaş derby

Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has sent a strong message ahead of the big derby against Beşiktaş. The Super Eagles striker has been in excellent form since joining the Turkish club this summer, scoring or assisting in every game so far.

Osimhen recently extended his goal tally with a stunning overhead kick during Galatasaray’s 3-0 win against Antalyaspor, earning praise across social media.

Speaking with Beyaz TV, the 25-year-old acknowledged the challenge of facing Beşiktaş but expressed confidence in his team’s preparation. “I think the Beşiktaş match will be tough, but we are ready and will give it our best. We want to get the 3 points,” Osimhen said.

He also stressed that scoring isn’t his top priority for the match: “I don’t care if I score against Beşiktaş or not. I just want to win, and the team wants to win too. I believe we are prepared.”

Osimhen came off the bench in Galatasaray’s last game, scoring a spectacular bicycle kick that sparked excitement online. His goal was ranked the second-best of its kind in history, just behind Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous 2.38-meter overhead kick.

Galatasaray fans are now eagerly awaiting the derby, hoping Osimhen’s hot form will continue against Beşiktaş.
