Flying Eagles captain Daniel Bameyi was named Man of the Match when Nigeria edged past Cote d’Ivoire 2-1 today to win Group B of the WAFU B U20 AFCON qualifying tournament in Togo.
The experienced central defender was the solid rock in the heart of the Flying Eagles as they fought from a goal down to win this decisive game and reach the semifinal of the tournament.
On Saturday, they will do battle with Group A runners-up Niger for a place in the final of the competition.
