Why Puma Chose Davido Over Me – Wizkid

Nigerian hip hop star, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly called Wizkid, has said the Puma ambassador deal his rival, David Adeleke, popularly called, Davido, got was nothing to him.

Naija News reported a series of tweets of Wizkid, in a supremacy battle against Davido. Davido, also on Wednesday, announced his new ambassador deal with the world-class brand, Puma.

Following the online supremacy battle between the two superstars, an X user @ Nelson Epega, accused Wizkid of being frustrated and jealous over Davido’s new deal with Puma.

In reaction, on his X handle, Wizkid lambasted @Nelson Epega’s video. He stated that Puma settled for a cheap ambassador. He explained that Puma brought the deal first to him but he rejected it because the company could not pay him.

Wizkid wrote, “U idiot! I turned down Puma because they could no longer afford to pay me because I wanted more! Don’t need dat! Way bigger than every artiste you just mentioned! Not jealous ! love them all. With ur dirty ass shirt! Idiot!

“No! Puma is a Big brand! But the budget they had for Africa wasn’t for me! Was cool for your client tho!”

According to Wizkid, he made his money himself by writing and singing his songs and should not be compared with Davido whom he said had no talent.
