Worst Player On The Pitch – Pastore Blast Super Eagles Star After Poor Display In UEFA Champions League

Giuseppe Pastore says Nigeria international forward Samuel Chukwueze was the worst place on the pitch for Italian side AC Milan in their 0-1 loss to German side Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Chukwueze who was the team’s most expensive signing during last season summer transfer window when he joined from Villarreal has lost his spot in the starting lineup, due to what the coach Paulo Fonseca said has to do with his inconsistency.

Yesterday he was once again introduced as a substitute with ten minutes left to play in the game , but couldn’t inspired the team to a comeback as they slumped to their second consecutive defeat in the tournament.

Speaking on the game as a guest on the Cronache di serratolo podcast ” Elastici”, Pastore a journalist who works for II Foglio lamented the poor quality of the players of AC Milan who are mostly introduced from the bench, whenever the team is chasing a game.

He said the gap in quality between the regulars and the substitutes is so wide and it was evident yesterday, terming Chukwueze as the worst player on the pitch despite playing for just ten minutes.

“And it seems to me that apart from Pavlovic, who is the one who is outside the defense, all the other starters do not have adequate replacements. Pulisic does not have them, because Chukwueze came on and was the worst on the pitch in 10 minutes. Musah does not come on”, he said.
