You can’t shame the shameless – Veekee James claps back at troll

Popular fashion designer Veekee James has responded to an online critic who insulted her appearance, emphasizing her confidence and faith that she is “made perfect by God.”

The incident began when a commenter on her Instagram page claimed, “Na filter and wig dey help this woman,” suggesting that James relies on filters and wigs for her beauty.

In response, James posted a video on October 25, 2024, showing her bare face without a wig, addressing the criticism directly.

“The problem with many of you is that you are not very smart,” James started, adding that people should think carefully about the kind of energy they put out online, whether positive or negative, as it impacts others.

“Many of you aren’t very smart because you should be very intentional about the kind of energy you give off and where you give off that energy,” she continued.

Veekee James advised the critic to put their energy toward something more positive, making it clear she can’t be shamed.

She explained, “If you come on my page and drop something that is supposed to make me feel ashamed of something that is supposed to make me feel bad, you should be ready to see that it yields results, right?” She added, “If you know that when you keep giving some of energy and it’s not giving results, my brother, my sister, why are you wasting your time? Why waste your time where you won’t get results?”

Veekee James went on to say that such comments don’t have the effect the critic might have expected.

“It’s clear you’re not purpose or self-driven, who would be ashamed to come on social media with my natural face?”

Embracing her natural look, James said,

“This is the face of someone who hasn’t slept in days and has been under the sun. This is a perfect face and a face designed by God, and skin created by the almighty. He made me in his own image I’m 100 percent. If you want to talk rubbish, go to the place where it might be appreciated…You can’t shame the shameless; I am unapologetically me.”
