Reality television personality Phyna has publicly criticized the Nigerian police.

In a video posted on her social media account, she questioned the police’s tendency to focus on young individuals.

Phyna stated that law enforcement officials frequently target successful youths, subjecting them to intimidation.

She called on the police to cease this behavior, warning that it undermines the potential for youth success.

In other news, Nigerian music icon Tiwa Savage is poised to release her new single titled ‘Forgiveness’ on Friday, October 18, 2024.

A brief video showcasing her dancing to the track has been shared on the singer’s Instagram account. The accompanying caption not only confirms the release date but also encourages fans to eagerly await the single.

“Oct 18th #ForGiveness Weekend wey go sweet, na from Thursday we go know,” the caption states.

Before the announcement of the release date and an official preview, a teaser for the song was uploaded to the Afrobeats artist’s page on October 7, 2024.

In May 2024, the acclaimed singer, songwriter, actress, and filmmaker unveiled the soundtrack album for her debut feature film, ‘Water & Garri’. This album included collaborations with notable artists such as Grammy nominees Olamide and Arya Starr.

The music video for ‘Commona’, featuring Olamide and Mystro Sugar, was released in July 2024. Directed by Jyde Ajala, it also incorporated scenes from the Prime original film.

In September 2024, she released the music video for ‘One Heart (Can Change The World)’, a song penned by the renowned songwriter Diane Warren, serving as the official soundtrack for the animated film ‘Ozi: Voice of The Forest’, which focuses on environmental and sustainability themes.

Additionally, Tiwa Savage made a guest appearance on Simi’s track ‘Men Are Crazy’, which was launched as the second single from the album ‘Lost and Found’. The music video for this collaboration was released in April 2024 and was directed by Pink.
