The board of Manchester United Football Club will be looking for a new head coach following the termination of Erik Ten Hag's appointment at the club with immediate effect.

The club released a statement on its official website on Monday, October 28, 2024, after a series of disappointing results by the club across all competitions but the straw that broke the camel's back was the defeat against West Ham United at the London Stadium.

That result left United 14th in the Premier League having finished eighth last season, the lowest they have ended a top-flight campaign since 1990.
