Army Commissions 12-Cabin Units For NARPAS In Kaduna

The Nigerian Army has commissioned a 12-unit cabin accommodation for officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (NARPAS) Regiment at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Base Kaduna.

The Army revealed the development on its Instagram information platform on Saturday.

The units were commissioned by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division Nigerian Army Major General Mayirenso Saraso on Friday.

The Army said the project is in line with its leadership philosophy aimed to transform the Army into a well-trained, equipped and highly motivated force.

In his remarks during the ceremony, the GOC commended the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja for availing funds for the project.

He said the Regiment had lived up to expectations since its establishment in 2022, urging the beneficiaries to uphold, sustain, and, if possible, improve on it.

He also commended the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar for availing the Regiment space in NAF Base for their operations.

He also applauded the Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Abdullahi for the support given to the Regiment.

He further solicited continuous support and collaboration with Operation Fansan Yamma.

Earlier in his welcome remarks, the Acting Commanding Officer NARPAS, Major Peter Efe said that since the Regiment commenced its operations in 2022, accommodation remained a major challenge.

He commended the COAS for ensuring the approval of the construction of the 12-cabin unit accommodation for the Regiment.
