Edo declares Friday work-free

Public workers in Edo State have been given Friday, 20 September, as work-free by the state government to enable them travel to their voting areas ahead of the Saturday’s governorship election

The Secretary to the State Government, Joseph Eboigbe, who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, reassured all residents that security measures have been provided to ensure a free, fair, and credible election.

“It is hereby announced for the information of the general public that the Edo State Government has declared Friday, September 20, a work-free day in Edo State.

“This is to enable workers and other electorates travel to their voting areas ahead of the September 21 governorship election in the State,” he said.
