According to THISDAY, Obaseki had arrived at the INEC office to protest alleged manipulation of the poll results, which appeared to favor All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate Senator Monday Okpebhollo.

Despite repeatedly inquiring about the results, INEC staff failed to provide answers, prompting a confrontation with APC supporters.

The tense situation escalated, leading to Obaseki’s removal from the premises by a combined team of security agents at 5:00 a.m.
