Former Flying Eagles winger Yira Sor has not suffered a major injury and will now be fit after the international break, according to his Belgian club Genk.

The speedy Sor was forced out of his team’s last league game on account of the injury and so will miss Sunday’s clash against Antwerp.

A recent scan showed that he has not suffered any major damage to his abdominal muscles and adductors, but his explosive playing style requires his body to be strengthened.

“He has the engine of a Ferrari, but the bodywork needs to be more solid,” Genk coach Thorsten Fink told Het Belang van Limburg.

Sor will be trained via a specific programme, and it is expected that he will be available again for the home match against Charleroi on November 23 after the short international break.

Last season, he was sidelined for 130 days by injury.
