The coach of Black Satellites of Ghana, Desmond Ofei, had admitted the superiority of the Flying Eagles over his team in the final of the WAFU B U20 tournament in Togo.
The Flying Eagles beat their Ghanaian counterparts 2-1 in an entertaining final with Kparobo Arierhi grabbing a first-half brace for Nigeria.
“Nigeria were better than us on the day,” Ofei acknowledged.
“We also lost to them in Niger two years ago and you know the rivalry between the two countries.
“We will now push on and be ready for the U20 AFCON next year.”
Ghana’s Jerry Afriye was named the MVP and top scorer of the competition.
