Harry Kane welcomes Thomas Tuchel as new England manager

Harry Kane has expressed his excitement following the announcement that Thomas Tuchel will take over as the England national team manager.

Tuchel, who previously coached Kane at Bayern Munich, will officially assume his role on January 1, 2025, with the goal of leading England to victory at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

While Kane is excited to reunite with Tuchel, some football pundits, including Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher, have raised concerns about the FA’s decision to appoint another foreign coach. They referenced past experiences with Sven-Goran Eriksson and Fabio Capello, who were criticized for not fully delivering on England’s potential.

Tuchel’s appointment comes after a brief but turbulent stint at Bayern Munich, where his relationship with the club’s board became strained, leading to his departure in May 2024.
