Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori has expressed disappointment that the Gunners did not come away with the three points against Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta’s men were close to pulling off a shocking win against City despite having Leandro Trossard sent off in the first half.

With seconds in stoppage time remaining and 10-man Arsenal 2-1 ahead, substitute John Stone reacted quickest to a rebound to make it 2-2.

Erling Haaland had given City the lead but Calafiori equalised while Gabriel headed Arsenal in front.

Speaking after the game, Calafiori believe Arsenal deserved more from the game.

“We reacted really good,” Calafiori was qouted by Arsenal News Channel. “0When the ref sends off a player like this it is never easy. It was so tough and we were so close to winning the game.

“This is the Premier League and especially against Man City. We have done well but we deserved more. We have not won the game so I am a bit sad and disappointed.”

Arsenal are now in fourth place on 11 points, just two points behind leaders City on the log.
