“If they pay me ₦100M, I go use cruise finish them” – Portable sends message to BBNaija

In the wake of Big Brother Naija Season 9’s finale on October 6, 2024, which crowned Kellyrae as the winner, controversial singer Portable took to social media to voice his discontent with the show’s current appeal.

Via a post on his Instagram story, Portable declared that the reality show has lost its spark, claiming it’s not as entertaining as it once was.

He boldly stated that, for a price of ₦100 million, he could bring back the excitement. “Big Brother no sweet again like before. All those people no blow, make them pay me ₦100M, and I go use cruise finish them. Dr. Zeh,” he wrote.

His comments started a debate among fans and followers. One user responded enthusiastically, suggesting a celebrity version of Big Brother next season featuring Portable alongside other popular figures like Bobrisky and Akpi. “Thank you, biggie!” they added.

Others echoed Portable’s sentiments, with one follower remarking, “Facts! I know Big Brother will do better in their audition next season. If something like this happens again, they might lose the value they have already. More than 50 percent of Nigerians don’t even know who won the show. I only found out tonight.”

Supporters rallied behind the singer’s call for a more dynamic lineup, proposing contestants like Bobrisky, Papaya Ex, and DJ Chicken to spice things up.

However, not everyone shared Portable’s perspective. Some users defended the latest season, pointing out that it featured less toxicity and more mature conflict resolution.
