Alex Iwobi has admitted it was mixed feelings for him to score at his former Premier League club Everton.

It will be the last goal he will score at the ground that was once home to him.

“It was bitter-sweet (to score in my last game at Goodison Park, it’s nice to score against a team I used to play for because I always have love and respect for them hence I celebrated the way I did,” he said.

He further explained that he gave the goalkeeper “the eyes” to score his second Premier League goal this season.

Everton fought back to draw level 1-1 in stoppage time.

Fulham, who finished 13th last season, have now climbed to 10th in the standings after ending a two-match losing run.

Iwobi said the London club will continue to push for top reckoning.

“We are an ambitious club, we’re trying to compete and we hope the results match our performances,” he assured.
