A fire broke out on a section of the Lagos Blue Line track near NEPA Station, opposite Eko Bridge in the Apogbon area of Lagos State.

Gboyega Akosile, the spokesperson for Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, shared on his X.com account (@gboyegakosile) that the incident occurred at 4:12 p.m. on Saturday.

He confirmed there were no casualties, and train services were not operating when the fire started.

Emergency responders, along with safety personnel, swiftly contained and extinguished the fire.

Akosile reassured locals that they could continue with their activities as the area is secure.

He advised residents to await further updates on train operations from @Lamataonline.
