Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has extended his heartfelt sympathies to the business community of Kwari Textiles Market following a devastating fire that destroyed numerous shops on Saturday evening.

In a statement by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, Governor Yusuf sympathised with the affected traders, their families, and the entire community of the state.

He urged traders and market authorities to remain vigilant and strengthen safety measures to prevent future occurrences.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to standing with the affected traders during the challenging time, ensuring the market’s continued role as a pillar of Kano’s economy.

He assured them of the government’s support in mitigating the effects of the incident.

Governor Yusuf called on all market stakeholders to work together to prioritise safety and implement necessary measures to avoid a recurrence of such unfortunate events.
