Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa is the NPFL Player of Week 5 after he scored twice for Kano Pillars to beat Sunshine Stars 2-0 in Katsina.

Back in familiar colors, and it feels so good! 🙌 Grateful to the entire backroom staff, my team mates, management of Kano Pillars FC for believing in me and giving me this opportunity to return. To the amazing supporters and everyone who came out to watch, thank you for the love… pic.twitter.com/zyugb1BZ9Y

It was a sensational return to the NPFL for the racy forward, who was making his third return to the domestic championship after his contract with Turkish club Sivasspor was mutually terminated in February.

The 31-year-old attacker returned to the Nigerian top league like he never left, netting a brace in Kano Pillars 2-0 home win over Sunshine Stars.

Ahmed Musa was found down the right flank, and drove in beautifully before powering a beautiful strike past goalkeeper Emmanuel Ofori just five minutes in, before adding his second goal early in the second half.

He even had the chance to grab a hat-trick, but he could not convert from the penalty spot after he had won his team that advantage.
