Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho is gearing up for another goal-scoring performance as Sevilla prepares to take on Real Sociedad, where he will face his Nigerian compatriot, Sadiq Umar. After a slow start, Iheanacho found his rhythm in Sevilla’s recent 3-0 Copa del Rey win over Las Rozas CF, netting his first two goals for the club.
Reflecting on his recent form, Iheanacho expressed optimism. “Hopefully, there are more goals to come, and hopefully, Sevilla will be in the top six of La Liga by the end of the season,” he said.
Sevilla will host Real Sociedad at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium on Sunday, and Iheanacho is excited to play in front of Sevilla’s passionate home crowd. “We have amazing fans who always support the team no matter what,” Iheanacho noted. “Hopefully, I get a chance to play, and they come out to support us for a win.”
Since his move to Sevilla, Iheanacho has scored twice in six appearances and is determined to contribute more as the team pushes for a strong finish in La Liga.
