In a strategic move to reinforce its position as a leading player in Nigeria’s premium spirits market, Lord’s London Dry Gin unveiled its newly redesigned packaging, featuring the ‘guala cap’, at the 2024 Lord’s Achievers Award.

The re-launch was highlighted as a significant step in the brand’s ongoing efforts to combat counterfeiting and maintain product authenticity, a critical issue within the industry.

The event, held under the theme Celebrating Emerging Icons, provided an ideal platform for the brand to introduce the tamper-evident ‘guala cap’ technology to its diverse audience of business leaders, trade partners, stakeholders and consumers.

Speaking on the significance of the relaunch, the Director, Prime Business Unit at Grand Oak Limited, Stanley Obi, said, “The redesign of the packaging aims to present a more modern and sophisticated brand image, with the cap symbolising our dedication to quality, safety and innovation. In a market where counterfeit products are increasingly advanced, it is crucial for us to stay ahead by investing in solutions that ensure our consumers receive only the best.”

Meanwhile, the award ceremony, which is an annual event that celebrates leadership and excellence across sectors, was the perfect backdrop for the relaunch. The occasion brought together a distinguished group of professionals, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs, underscoring the brand’s relevance and alignment with the aspirations of its target market.
