“The most dangerous institution in Nigeria” – Davido slams INEC as he reveals why he is interested in Edo State gubernatorial election

Award-winning music star Davido has revealed why he is interested in the ongoing Edo State gubernatorial election.

In a series of tweets, he had questioned the police directive for Edo citizens, telling them to return home immediately after casting their votes.

He declared the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the most dangerous institution in Nigeria as he admonished Edo indigenes not to bow to them. He noted how he had to fight and rant for the Osun Election to be a success in 2022 and is waiting for Osun 2026.

Explaining to those who queried him for interfering in the election, he revealed that his mother is from Edo and as such, he is interested in the election. He also knocked INEC, calling them a shame as he prayed for God to help the citizens.

In another tweet, he stated that he knows INEC wouldn’t transmit results electronically, so everyone should be ready to follow the vote/result from the polling unit up until the state collation center.

There is doubt that Davido is fond of his mother as during his traditional wedding in June, Davido had paid tribute to his late mother who was from Edo State, with his second wedding attire. The singer rocked an Edo traditional attire, with his personal logistics manager, gearing him up.

Marking her posthumous birthday two years back, Davido had described his late mother as a sweet mother.

In other news, last year, Davido spilled some tea about his family’s longtime relationship with skitmaker, Mr Macaroni. He revealed that his late mother bought Mr Macaroni his first phone.

The singer was undoubtedly telling the truth as Mr Macaroni had once admitted to it. In January 2022, Mr Macaroni said that Deji Adeleke, father of Davido, bought him his first laptop ever. Macaroni described the billionaire as one of his greatest inspirations, who taught him the act of giving and helping others.
