NPFL Updates: Kano Pillars Plot Remo Fall, Enyimba Eye Win, Ikorodu City Set For Kwara

Kano Pillars’ technical adviser, Usman Abdallah, has acknowledged the strength of Remo Stars and expects a tough encounter ahead of their NPFL clash at 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 22.

He also commended Remo Stars’ head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, for his tactical skills which helped Remo to finish second in the NPFL last season.

Despite the form of Remo Stars, who haven’t dropped a point this season, Abdallah is confident that Kano Pillars have thoroughly studied their opponents and are well-prepared to secure a victory.

“We know it’s going to be a tough match, perhaps the match of the week,” Abdallah told Kano Pillars media.

“But we’ve studied them and know their style of play, and I’m confident we’ll take the three points.”

Ikorodu City Motivated

Ikorodu City’s technical adviser, Bright Ozebagbe, expresses the team’s high motivation for their upcoming away fixture against Kwara United at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 22.

Ozebagbe stated that the players are relaxed, fully prepared, and eager to secure a positive result with no injury concerns.

“We rested well and now we had enough time to practice and improve where we needed to after the Katsina United game,” Ozebagbe told the club’s website.

“The boys are ready, they are relaxed. There are no injury worries and they are all motivated to go, To get the result. We are not leaving any stone unturned.”

Kano Pillars have a home away from home

Kano Pillars head coach, Usman Abdallah, acknowledges the support received in their temporary home ground, Muhammad Dikko Stadium, Katsina.

Note that Kano Pillars are currently playing their NPFL games on a neutral ground due to the ongoing renovations at their original ground, Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.

Ahead of their clash with in-form Remo Stars, Abdallah appreciates the great support from their fans in Katsina as he remains hopeful for a return to their home ground once the renovations are completed.

“Kano and Katsina are close, and our supporters have been great in Katsina,” Abdallah told Kano Pillars media.

“We’re hopeful we’ll soon be back at the Sani Abacha Stadium once renovations are complete.”

Enyimba Hope For Victory

Enyimba midfielder Daniel Daga is optimistic about the club’s prospects in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Enyimba are gearing up to host Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso in the second leg of their second preliminary round tie at 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 22.

Ahead of the game, Daga expresses confidence in Enyimba’s ability to secure a victory and advance to the group stages, emphasizing their determination to make Nigeria proud and establish themselves as a formidable force in African football.

“Our resolve is to win and advance to the group stages,” Daga told the club’s official website.

“We understand they are a difficult opponent, but we have just one task, which is to win, and that’s exactly what we are going to do.
