Manchester City edged out Fulham 3-2 in a thrilling Premier League encounter at the Etihad Stadium, thanks to Mateo Kovacic’s decisive brace
Fulham took an early lead through Andreas Pereira’s 27th-minute strike, set up by Raul Jimenez’s brilliant skill. Adama Traore missed a crucial chance to double the advantage soon after.
City quickly equalized when Kovacic capitalized on a loose ball from a corner. He struck again early in the second half with a curling effort, giving City a 2-1 lead.
Substitute Jeremy Doku seemingly sealed the win with a third goal, but Rodrigo Muniz’s late strike for Fulham set up a tense finish. Despite Fulham’s late pressure, City held on for victory.
Kovacic emerged as the unlikely hero, stepping up in the absence of injured Rodri to guide City to a hard-fought win. His brace proved crucial in securing all three points for Pep Guardiola’s side.
