Tomi Taiwo was spotted back at her roots with the Iowa Women's basketball team.

The Nigerian was back in town as the Iowa women's basketball team were honored for their accomplishments in getting to the NCAA women's basketball final.

The former stars featuring Caitlin Clark, Gabbie Marshall, and Kate Martin were celebrated at the Iowa football 40-14 win against Northwestern at Kinnick Stadium.

During a first-half timeout at the game, the Iowa women's basketball team for 2023–24 was also given a standing ovation.

WNBA Rookie of the Year Clark and fellow former Hawkeyes standout Kate Martin were among the squad members who made an appearance along with retired coach Lisa Bluder.

Iowa celebrated past athletes Megan Gustafson and Tomi Taiwo who competed in the 2024 Olympics also at the game.

Taiwo played a crucial role for Nigeria as they were eliminated by the United States of America, while Gustafson played for Spain.
