Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa made an emphatic return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), scoring two goals in Kano Pillars’ 2-0 victory over Sunshine Stars in Matchday 5 on Sunday.

The match marked his first appearance for the club after a nine-month absence, and he wasted no time showing his class.

In front of an enthusiastic home crowd at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium, Katsina, Musa found the net just five minutes into the game with a powerful strike.

His second goal came early in the second half, securing a comfortable lead for the Sai Musa Gida.

Despite missing a penalty in the 70th minute that could have sealed his hat-trick, Musa’s return proved vital, as Kano Pillars finally broke a two-game losing streak.

The win was crucial for Kano Pillars, and Technical Adviser Usman Sherrif Abdallah praised the team’s resilience, highlighting Musa’s performance as a catalyst for their improved showing.
