Liam Payne’s One Direction bandmates have broken their silence with a heartfelt tribute following the star’s tragic de.ath

Singer and dad-of-one Liam, 31, d!ed after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on Wednesday.

Liam Payne shot to fame alongside Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik as part of One Direction after auditioning for X Factor in 2010 aged just 14.

They became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time before going their separate ways in 2016.

In a statement shared on Thursday evening the band said: “We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say.

“But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly.

“The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us.

“We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam. – Louis, Zayn, Niall and Harry.”
