Rapper Vector Reveals the One Thing He’d Do to Change Nigeria

Nigerian rapper Vector recently shared his thoughts on a significant change he wishes to see in Nigeria.

During a discussion on Pulse Fun Facts alongside fellow artist Reminisce, rapper Vector emphasized the need for Nigerians to place more value on their culture and traditions.

“If I could change anything in Nigeria, I would restrict Nigerian thinking to the traditional way,” he stated. Clarifying further, rapper Vector added, “I would make sure our culture and traditions are heavily part of who we are.”

He went on to give an example, saying, “In Yorubaland, Yoruba would get a higher mark in schools than any other study, and in Igbo Land, Igbo language would get a higher mark than other courses so that we can preserve the core fabric of the country. Anybody can wake up and create something in tech or become wealthy, but what truly sustains us is our culture.”

For rapper Vector, his personal connection to the Yoruba culture has been a vital source of mental strength.

“If I could change one thing, it’d be focusing on our core essence as Nigerians,” he concluded.

On the other hand, Reminisce expressed his desire to reform Nigeria’s governmental structure, noting,

“If I could change something, it’d be the system of government. The fundamental issue in this country is how we are governed, not just who governs.”
