The Senate has officially confirmed 21 nominees as federal commissioners of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

The confirmation followed the presentation of a report by Senator Yahaya Abdullahi, who represents Kebbi North.

The nominees were appointed by President Bola Tinubu in August and subsequently required Senate approval to take their positions.

Abdullahi, who chairs the joint committee on national planning, economic affairs, and finance, expressed confidence in the qualifications of the nominees, stating that all are fit to hold public office.

He added, “With these appointments, every state in the country is represented on the RMAFC board.

“That the Senate do confirm the 21 nominees that makes the commission to be of its full complement.”
