Super Eagles defender, Shehu Abdullahi has expressed his joy at returning to club football after a prolonged absence.

The 31-year-old last featured in a competitive game back in 2022 for Levski Sofia, but made his comeback in Kano Pillars’ 4-3 victory over Rangers in an NPFL clash held in Enugu, on Wednesday.

Abdullahi, who is in his second stint with Kano Pillars, started the match and delivered a solid performance, contributing to the team’s first away win of the season.

“Nothing beats the feeling of being back, and I’m excited to return with Pillars,” Abdullahi said.

“What a team performance against Rangers today. This is what Pillars is about, and this is what we will continue to push for. This win is for the fans.”
