The Super Eagles B team, also known as the CHAN Eagles, has kicked off preparations in Abuja for their upcoming 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers against Liberia.
Under the guidance of head coach Austin Eguavoen and his crew, the team is training at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch, with the first session held on Wednesday focusing on light physical drills and tactical work.
Social media is abuzz with images from the camp, with Wisdom Ndon and Saviour Isaac among the trending players, highlighted in posts from the Akwa Ibom State Football Association.
Their popularity reflects the high expectations for the squad, which includes 35 players drawn from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The team’s initial training has involved a mix of physical conditioning and tactical drills, as Eguavoen works to refine a cohesive squad capable of advancing past the CHAN qualifiers. The players are under strict focus, with fans and stakeholders closely following their progress ahead of their crucial December matchup with Ghana.
