An ally of a prominent terrorist in northwest Nigeria, Sani Black, was killed by vigilantes from Tashar ‘Yar Sahabi in Zamfara State’s Maru Local Government Area ten days after the notorious terrorist leader, Halilu Buzu was killed by the military.

On Monday, Black and seven other bandits were trailed and ambushed around Wakilai and Tungu in Dansadau Emirate of Zamfara.

Black was one of the pioneers of terrorism in Zamfara and a protege of the late Tsoho Buhari. He was also a close ally of Mr Sububu, who was also killed in an ambush on 13 September THE WHISTLER reported.

In his last video, Mr Sububu advised Black and other terrorists to stop attacking the Fulanis and communities that did not threaten their criminal enterprises.

Reports gathered indicated that Black was killed by the vigilantes after monitoring his movements for over 24 hours.

After the successful execution, they reported the incident to the military formation in nearby Hannu Tara.

A resident of the area, Nuhu Dansadau, said before the soldiers arrived in the area, however, the bandits took away the bodies.

Mr Dansadau, who is a member of the International Human Rights, Crime Control and Conflict Resolution, said Mr Black terrorised Dansadau Emirate from a hideout in the Bindin forest in the area.

However, the spokesperson for Operation Hadarin Daji in Zamfara, when contacted Tuesday afternoon, Suleiman Omale, said he was yet to receive communication about the development.
