TODAY'S TRANSFORMATIONAL TRUTH 1ST OCTOBER 2024 - #Focus on the Future

Hello Friends,

I trust you're having an amazing day! Today on Triple T, we’re diving into a theme that holds the key to long-term success: #FOCUS ON THE FUTURE.

Let me begin by saying, "Your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow." Too often, we get caught up in the distractions of the present or the weight of the past. But true progress happens when we set our eyes on the horizon, plan wisely, and take intentional steps toward what lies ahead. The Ultimate Book says in Philippians 3:13, "Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead." Friends, "If you keep your focus on the future, you’ll always have a clear sense of direction and purpose."

Just like a ship navigating the stormy seas, Nigeria, in its journey to independence in 1960, faced turbulent waters. Before October 1st, the storms of colonial rule, oppression, and uncertainty raged on. But Nigeria’s leaders refused to be swayed by the winds of doubt. They focused on the future, envisioning a land of freedom, self-governance, and unity. It was their steadfastness, their vision through the storm, that brought the dawn of independence. Today as citizens of this great nation we might not be getting the true dividends of the independence but we must keep our gaze at the future of greatness we dream of not withstanding the current predicament we are faced with emanating from bad leadership, as "It’s not the storm that defines your journey; but how you steer your ship towards the horizon."

On a personal note, my Cherish and I are celebrating today, eight years of God's faithfulness and Goodness in our marriage, and Like any relationship, we've sailed through calm waters and weathered storms. Although there were times when the storms of life threatened to overwhelm us, but we kept our eyes on Christ our Anchor, and the promises of his glorious future and dreams which he showed us from the beginning , and today we don't look like where we are coming from or the battles we have overcame because focusing on the future kept us moving forward, and today, we sail stronger than ever. Hear this Friends, "When you focus on the future, the storm may come, but it won’t sink you, rather it will lift you."

As people of faith, we must remember that "God has good plans for us, plans to give us a future filled with hope." In Jeremiah 29:11, it says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Friends, "When you focus on God’s promises, no storm can throw you off course."

As I conclude, let me remind you that, " In the storm or in the calm, your focus today is what shapes your tomorrow." So, Whether it’s in your career, relationships, or personal goals, keep your eyes on the future, and the storms will only strengthen your resolve.

In conclusion, I encourage you today to FOCUS ON THE FUTURE. Set your goals, keep your vision clear, and remember that your future is shaped by the steps you take today.
