Victor Osimhen scores

Victor Osimhen returned to scoring form to help Galatasaray secure a 2-1 victory over Besiktas in a crucial top-of-the-table clash.

The Super Eagles striker netted the decisive goal, ensuring his team grabbed all three points in the first Istanbul derby of the season.

Playing at Rams Park, the Turkish league leaders took an early lead through Davinson Sanchez. The defender’s goal gave Galatasaray momentum, and the home side looked determined to extend their advantage. Osimhen, who recently joined Galatasaray, made his mark in the 67th minute by scoring his first goal in the derby, doubling the lead to 2-0.

Besiktas fought back late, and Ernest Muci managed to score a consolation goal in the 94th minute. However, the late effort was not enough to change the outcome, as Galatasaray held on to claim the bragging rights. Osimhen’s goal ultimately made the difference, solidifying the team’s position at the top of the league.

This win gives Okan Buruk’s side a strong advantage in the title race, and Osimhen’s performance serves as a warning to their rivals. His strike in the derby will boost Galatasaray’s confidence as they aim to maintain their position at the top of the Turkish Super Lig.
