In a heated rant, Daddy Freeze accused Nathaniel Bassey of using the Hallelujah Challenge as a means to promote his personal brand, rather than for spiritual purposes. He urged people to pay attention to his own teachings instead, which he claimed would help them avoid excessive prayer.

If you listen to Daddy Freeze, you will need to challenge the Hallelujah less because I will teach you the common sense to have so you don’t need to pray 24/7. I’m here to teach you life experience! Una no dey like hear word.”
