Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi posted a snippet of his new song on social media
Fulham’s Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi has been making waves both on and off the pitch, now releasing his second single, "What’s Luv?"
The Super Eagles midfielder has continued his journey in music after debuting his first track, “Don’t Shoot,” which made him the first Premier League player with an official release.
Celebrating African roots through music
Iwobi’s latest track, "What’s Luv?" is described as a fusion of Afro-Swing and Rap, showcasing his Nigerian heritage through vibrant beats and rhythm.
Teaming up with close friend SPKS and rising artist MBrown, Iwobi brings his music to life with an authentic African touch.
For the midfielder, music is more than a pastime; he describes his passion for the arts, saying, “Music has always been a passion of mine, and a way for me to express myself away from football,” adding that he hopes it inspires young people to embrace their unique interests and talents.
Iwobi enjoying superb season despite musical efforts
The Nigerian star sees his music as a powerful way to connect with fans and give back to the community as a role model, whose work can inspire others.
"Alongside the work we do in the community, I hope my music shows that young people do not have to feel they have to fit in just one box,”Iwobi explained.
Despite being on the music scene, Iwobi has not let his efforts off the pitch affect his performances on it, as the Super Eagles star has been an integral part of Fulham’s impressive start to the season, even scoring against his former side Everton in the last game week.
