Spain Bound Ubong Samson, Anjolaoluwa And Garuba On Target As Buruj FC Thrash O.O.I.M FC In Friendly

Spain Bound Ubong Samson, and Anjolaoluwa of Buruj Football Club continues their good run form in the 2024/2025 season as they defeated Opopo Ona Iye Mimo FC , (O.O.I.M FC) by 3-1 on Thursday, Sports247 reports.r

Buruj Football Club who had earlier defeated Bright Future Lions FA by 3-0 in a friendly match a week ago, started like a house on fire as Spain bound Ubong Samson open scores with a sublime from the edge of the box.

In that match played at the Ogolonto playing pitch of the club, saw Anjolaoluwa who scored a brace against Bright Future Lion FA doubled the lead just before giving Buruj 2-0 advantage at half time.

The highly entertaining match saw Buruj Football Academy resume the second half from where they left it as they continue to dominate O.O.I.M FC boys , pilling pressure looking for more goals.

The pressure eventually paid on the hour mark , when Buruj FA won a penalty but the advantage was missed as Raheem Salaudeen hit his effort on the cross and the ball rebounded straight into the hands of the O.O.I.M FC goalkeeper.

The church boys responded when the center referee awarded them a penalty after Buruj FC defender handled the ball in the box.

The team made no mistake and sent Inyang Edet, Buruj FC goalkeeper the wrong way to reduce the deficit and threatened to equalise but all their efforts ended in vain as Inyang Edet, proved dependable in goal as ever.

The goal minder made two crucial saves to deny O.O.I.M FC any comeback .

Buruj FC’s resilience paid off when Garuba Quadri scored a wonderful goal from a free kick around the corner flag as he kicked the ball straight into the net, evading all the players straight into the back of the net to kill off the match.

It was a sweet revenge for Buruj FC as both sides met at the Maracana Center of the 2024 Nationwide League One, ( NLO) of which O.O.I M FC triumphed on the day.

This makes the third game Buruj FC has played this season, of which they won two and drew one, as the boys are responding to training and jelling as they continue their growth and development ahead of the loaded 2024/2025 season which includes two European tours , Viareggio Cup in Italy and the Manchester Cup Championship all billed for next year.
