Effective November 7th, YouTube Premium subscribers have been notified of price adjustments affecting both individual and family plans across various regions, including Europe, the Middle East, and South America.

In certain EU countries, reports reveal that the monthly cost of family plans will jump from €17.99 to €25.99, while individual subscriptions will increase from €11.99 to €13.99. Similar price adjustments have emerged in markets such as Singapore, Colombia, and Saudi Arabia, with users documenting these changes on social media platforms, particularly Reddit.

This price adjustment follows a previous increase experienced by US subscribers, who saw their individual Premium fees rise from $11.99 to $13.99 last year. The family’s plan also saw a jump from $17.99 to $22.99. Such increases are currently happening across companies, affecting various streaming services, including Disney Plus and Paramount Plus, which have also raised their prices recently.

Interestingly, users have noted the appearance of a new option dubbed “Premium Lite” in some discussions, suggesting a possible reintroduction of a lower-tier subscription service, although details remain sparse. YouTube had previously tested this plan but announced its discontinuation last year.

In light of these changes, Google has informed users that the price adjustments are necessary to ensure ongoing service improvements and support for content creators. The language mirrors that used in past notifications regarding price increases, indicating a consistent approach in communicating these adjustments to subscribers.
