The 21-year-old was impressed by the skills and talent the Chelsea forward displayed during their youth football encounters.

Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde has singled out Chelsea winger Noni Madueke as one of the toughest opponents he has faced in his career.

The 21-year-old played against Madueke during their youth football days, and Balde was impressed by Madueke's skills and talent.

"Another could be when I was in youth football against Madueke, who’s at Chelsea now. He’s a good player, I think he was at PSV then, it was another good game," Balde told ESPN.

Chelsea signed Madueke on a seven-and-a-half-year contract from PSV Eindhoven for approximately £28.5 million in January 2023, and he has made a great impact at Chelsea since his move.

The England international has scored five goals in 11 appearances across all competitions this season. So far, the 22-year-old has played 57 times for Chelsea, contributing 14 goals and three assists.

His direct style of play and ability to create chances have earned him a regular starting role under new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca.
