Super Eagles winger will miss up to three months of action after suffering an injury against Barcelona.
Sevilla have confirmed the worst, as they announced that Super Eagles defender Chidera Ejuke has done his hamstring, which effectively rules him out of action for a speculated three months.
High-flying Ejuke hits a halt against Barcelona
The 26-year-old has been one of the most exciting players in the Spanish top flight this season. He leads the division in dribbles completed per 90 and was on course for a sensational debut season.
However, his progress has now been halted after he pulled his hamstring in the 5-1 defeat against Barcelona. Nigeria was billed to wreak havoc against the Blaugrana, but he had to be substituted just before halftime.
The worst was feared after Ejuke was helped onto the sidelines; now, after tests have been done, the club can confirm that he will be sidelined for a significant amount of games.
Ejuke out for three months
Sevilla announced via their social media that the former Royal Antwerp winger sustained a high-grade tear to his hamstring.
According to Relevo, the injury will keep him out of action for at least three months. The current timeline is contingent on his response to conservative treatment, as if surgery is required, he will be ruled out for even longer.
