Bournemouth ended Arsenal’s unbeaten start to the season with a 2-0 win at Vitality Stadium, capitalizing on William Saliba’s first-half red card
Saliba was dismissed in the 29th minute for tripping Evanilson, leaving Arsenal to face a challenging 60-minute test.
Despite initial resistance, Bournemouth broke through in the 70th minute with Ryan Christie’s brilliant strike, following a clever corner routine.
Substitute Justin Kluivert sealed the win with a confident penalty conversion in the 79th minute, after Evanilson was fouled by Raya.
Bournemouth’s victory ended a four-game losing streak against Arsenal and moved them up to 10th in the table. Arsenal missed the opportunity to go top before Liverpool’s match against Chelsea.
The loss is a significant blow for Arsenal, who had previously salvaged points in difficult situations against Manchester City and Brighton.
