In a major boost for the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL), Premium Trust Bank has been announced as the official sponsor for the branding and kits of Match Commissioners, Referee Assessors, and FIFA Badge referees for the 2024 NPFL season.

This announcement was made by the president of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau, during the opening remarks at the Match Commissioner Seminar held in Abuja. The seminar, organized by the NFF’s Match Commissioner Committee, aimed to equip officials with the necessary training and updates ahead of the upcoming football season.

The NFF president praised Premium Trust Bank for its commitment to supporting Nigerian football through this sponsorship.

The partnership will provide essential kits and full branding for all match officials, including match commissioners, referee assessors, and internationally recognized FIFA Badge referees.

This initiative is expected to enhance the professionalism and efficiency of officials throughout the NPFL 2024 season.

“The NFF is excited to partner with Premium Trust Bank, who have taken the important step of ensuring our match commissioners, referee assessors, and FIFA Badge referees are well-equipped and professionally presented for the NPFL season.

This sponsorship demonstrates their dedication to sports development and will raise the standard of football officiating in the country,” said Gusau in his address.

The branding effort will see all officials dressed in high-quality, standardized kits featuring the logos of Premium Trust Bank and the NFF.

This initiative aims to ensure consistency, professionalism, and greater visibility for the officials during NPFL matches.

The Match Commissioner Seminar also featured discussions on the latest football regulations, as part of the NFF’s broader efforts to maintain integrity and high standards in Nigerian football.

Premium Trust Bank’s involvement sets a new benchmark for corporate sponsorship in Nigerian sports, highlighting the increasing role of private sector partnerships in the growth of football across the country.

With this sponsorship, the NFF hopes to further improve the credibility of the NPFL, ensuring that match officials have the tools they need to fulfill their roles effectively throughout the 2024 season.
