Flamingos beat New Zealand
The Flamingos started their campaign by recording a 4-1 victory against their counterparts from New Zealand.
They took the lead as early as the second minute when Shakirat Abidemi Moshood converted a ball through by Harmony Chidi.
In the 13th minute, Khadijat Taiwo Adegoke scored the second for the Flamingos assisted by Faridat Abdulwahab.
Abdulwahab would score the third in the 28th minute assisted by Moshood.

In the 55th minute, the Flamingos got their fourth through Taiwo Tewogbola Afolabi assisted by Adegoke.
New Zealand would pull one back in the 60th minute when Hannah Aimee Saxon scored assisted by Ela Jerez.
Flamingos beat Ecuador
The Flamingos recorded a 4-0 victory against Ecuador in their second group game.
Nigeria went in front through a penalty converted by Shakirat Abidemi Moshood in the 28th minute.
The Flamingos doubled their lead through Chidera Harmony Chidi in the 54th minute assisted by Aishat Animashaun.
In the 66th minute, Peace Mary Effiong added a third to ensure the three points.
Chidi then found Moshood for her second of the game and fourth for the Flamingos deep into stoppage time.

Dominican Republic lose to Ecuador
The Dominican Republic suffered a 2-0 loss to Ecuador in their group opener.
It took just 14 minutes for Ecuador to go in front through a goal by Jaslym Esther Valverde Tenerio.
Tenerio got her second of the game in the 29th minute assisted by Camacho Roldan.

Ecuador and the Dominican Republic draw
In their second group game, the Dominican Republic played out a draw with New Zealand.
There were no goals in the first half, but New Zealand went in front in the 61st minute through an own goal by Renata Mercedes Puello.
The equalizer came in the 68th minute for the Dominican Republic through Yuleinis Margarita Brito Pinales.
