The ongoing governorship election in Edo State has been met with protest in Ward 8, Unit 1 of Orhionmwon Local Government Area as voters kick against the absence of election result sheets.

The incident unfolded as the electorate refused to cast their votes without the necessary documentation.

In a video circulating on social media, a crowd of voters could be heard chanting, “no result sheet, no election.”

They’re demanding officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to present result sheets for the poll.

The voters insisted that they would not proceed with the election unless the documents were provided.

Despite attempts by INEC officials to calm the crowd, stating that the sheets were “on their way,” the voters were not satisfied.

Many expressed frustration and anger, voicing concerns over transparency and fairness in the electoral process.
