Enyimba FC Refutes False Match Date Circulation, Confirms Official Fixture

Enyimba FC has dismissed a false match date currently being circulated, which claims that the club’s home fixture against Katsina United FC is scheduled for Saturday. The club has urged its fans and the general public to disregard this misinformation.

In an official statement posted on their social media, Enyimba FC clarified that the correct match date remains Sunday, October 6th, 2024, at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.

The club also noted that there has been no official communication from the NPFL organizers about any changes to the match date or its live broadcast.

“The club wishes to correct the wrong impression and to inform its fans and the unsuspecting football followers/public that the match date against Katsina United still remains Sunday October 6th 2024 at the Enyimba Int’l Stadium, Aba.

The club will continue to pursue it’s preparations ahead of the match day 5 NPFL encounter as original stated by the organizers of the league who up until the time of this release have not written Enyimba FC through any channel regarding any changes to the match date or live telecast.”

The club emphasized the importance of caution in disseminating information and advised fans to be wary of misleading posts that may attempt to disrupt the focus of the team, as Enyimba continues its preparations for Matchday 5 in the NPFL.

Enyimba reiterated their respect for the league’s broadcaster and other partners but stressed the need for accuracy to avoid confusion, especially at a time when the NPFL is making significant strides.

“While we hold the broadcaster and other partners of the league in high esteem, we also wish to call for more caution and carefulness in other not to deceive our fans and that of the league especially now that the NPFL is making a great impact with the positive achievements recorded so.”

Fans are encouraged to rely on official communication channels for updates and to disregard the false date being circulated.

“We thereby urge our loving fans and every football supporter who intends to see the encounter to disregard the erroneous posts as it may be the hand work of some mischievous elements who want to derail the focus of the 9 times NPFL champions.”
