The Flying Eagles now look set to shine at the forthcoming WAFU B U20 AFCON qualifying tournament in Togo after they showed class in a 6-0 spanking of Morak FC.

First-half scores were 1-0 in favour of the Flying Eagles, who went on to fire five goals after the break.

“It was a very convincing performance not just because of the big win, but also the overall cohesion now in the team,” an excited team official told SCORENigeria

“The players from the NPFL have lifted the team.”

The core of the Flying Eagles is the several players from last year’s U20 World Cup in Argentina, namely goalkeeper Nathanial Nwosu, Daniel Bamaiyi, Daniel Daga and Ibrahim Abdullahi.

The team are due to change training camps by the weekend enroute to the WAFU B U20 AFCON qualifiers in Togo, which begins on October 17.

They are drawn against a highly-rated Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso in Group B.
