Gunfire Erupts Near Trump at Golf Club

A shocking incident unfolded on Sunday when gunshots rang out near former US President Donald Trump at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach. Trump's campaign team confirmed the incident, revealing that the suspect fled the scene in an SUV and was later apprehended in a nearby county without a weapon.

According to law enforcement officials, an AK-style firearm was recovered from the scene, but it remains unclear whether Trump was the intended target. 

Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw noted that if Trump were still president, the golf course would have had extensive security coverage. However, due to his current status, "security is limited to the areas that the Secret Service deems possible".

The incident marks the second time in two months that Trump has been the target of an apparent assassination attempt, following a previous incident during a rally. The FBI is investigating the latest incident, with the US Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi promising a media briefing soon.
